Market on Millstream

Bin 4 Burger Lounge – within walking distance..licensed..delicious..need we say more.

Sabhai Thai – Also within walking distance although a little further down Goldstream Ave past Bin 4.  Worth every second of the walk.  The food is splendidly fresh, tasty and reasonably priced.

Turmeric Indian Cuisine – A stone’s throw from Bin 4, this place makes some tasty Indian food treats. Apparently they have a lunch buffet in addition to regular lunch and dinner service.

Floyd’s Diner – The local greasy spoon kinda diner and home of ‘the Mahoney’, a one off dish prepared by the cooks for which you can pay the original price or flip a coin for double or nothing..If you win they pay for your meal, if they win you pay double.  It’s tempting to try your luck!

My*Chosen*Cafe – about a 20 min drive into the deep wonderous depths of Metchosin.  A great place for families and good selection of well portioned home cooked food. And a pretty funky barn style atmosphere.

Esquimalt Farmers Market – Indoors at the Esquimalt Rec Centre from January to April then outdoors May until ?? They also do a Christmas Market!
Metchosin Farmers Market – May to October at the Metchosin Municipal Grounds on Happy Valley Road. Sundays from 11am to 2pm
The Q Centre Market – A new summer market at Juan de Fuca that usually has a least a couple of food trucks, local farmers, artisians and more.

SaltChuck Pie Company – Made in the Australian and New Zealand traditional pie style, these pies are DELICIOUS.  Go there..or find their food truck. Do it. Rae is especially a fan because it reminds her of home..although still waiting for the scallop pie to land on the menu..that will really nail it for her!

Foo, Foo Ramen Bar, Part & Parcel – An amazing, crazy talented, kind, generous and all round incredible human friend of ours Sterling is a business owner in each of these ventures.  We would say go there because he’s an awesome guy and it’s cool to throw business his way but, go there because the food is worth it – for sure.

Brasserie L’Ecole – One of our all time favourites, a place of work and great learning for Rae at one time. Steak, frites, mussels, local, extensive wine and beer selection..seriously extensive. And the service is always sharp, ambiance just right.
